The top 20 Hip-Hop songs that kept summer 2012 ablaze! Click 20 to start the countdown…
20)  Bitches And Bottles – DJ Khaled ft. Lil Wayne, T.I. & Future
Solid production from Mike Will, decent verses from Wayne & TI plus a solid catchy hook from Future cements this song as pretty good soundtrack for a wild night out. “Bitches and bottles lets get it started!!”

19) Pop That – French Montana ft Drake x Lil Wayne x Rick Ross
The hook on this gets annoying QUICK but this is anthem music so on that merit alone it squeezes into the top 20. The video below surely helps too. “Pop that don’ stop!”

18) Birthday Song – 2 Chainz x Kanye West
I wasn’t really a big fan of this song until they release the raunchy video. The video is ratchet and wild but it quite befitting for this song. Now I want for my birthday is “big booty h….”

17) 3 Kings Rick Ross Ft  Dr Dre & Jay Z
On paper this song appears to be  a hip hop classic but in reality it’s not as special as it could’ve been. On the bright side, Jay Z steals the show here with his verse. “It’s just different!”

16) No Lie – 2 Chainz x Drake
Typical verses from 2 Chainz, a pretty nice beat from Mike Will who also produced song #20 in conjunction with a solid hook & verse from Drake verse ensures this song is a moderate hit.

15) I Wish You Would – DJ Khaled x Kanye West & Rick Ross

When you throw Yeezy, Ross and Hit Boy on the production the song is almost guaranteed to be a hit. This was kind of close.

14) Actin up – Wale & Meek Mill x French Montana
This choir inspired beat though? FIRE. #funfact: These hoes really do be acting up though..
13) Cashin Out – Cash Out
This song earns a spot on this list merely because of its catchy and sing a long nature. Now everyone is “..Riding around with that Nina..”

12) Sixteen Rick Ross x Andre 3000

Ross recruits Andre 3k for this cut off his GFID album and Andre steals the show here. It feels like its Andre featuring Ross because he completely dominates. This song should’ve been “Maybach Music IV” instead of that sup par one on the album with Ne-Yo. Smooth production & good lyrics. Sometimes “sixteen ain’t enough!”

11) I Don’t Like Remix – Chief Keef ft Kanye West x  Pusha T x Jadakiss & Big Sean
“..That’s that shit I don’t like!” is common everyday saying now thanks to this song.

10) Way Too Cold (Theraflu) – Kanye West
“Tell PETA my mink is draggin’ on the floor.” “Shut the fuck up when you talk to me before I embarrass you” – As those two bars show, this song is vintage Kanye West being highly opinionated and giving absolutely zero fucks about who his words offend. Way too cold Kanye, way too cold!

9) Swimming Pools (Drank)  - Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick attempts to make commercial music while staying true to his core as an artist and guess what? He mostly succeeds. “Pour up, Drank!”
  8) Exodus 23:1 – Pusha T
This song almost started a war between YMCMB & G.O.O.D Music. Fiery tune.

7)  Amen – Meek Mill x Jeremih x Drake
“Do LIV on sundays like a church!” is now a must do for all visitors of South Beach, Florida. We can thank this song for that.
6)  New God Flow – Kanye West x Pusha T
G.O.O.D lyrics. G.O.O.D production = G.O.O.D music. “What’s a circus without you clown niggas?” G.O.O.D question Pusha T. G.O.O.D question!
5) Bitch Bad – Lupe Fiasco

Overlook the seemingly offensive title and there is a very deep message in this song. This tune is vintage Lupe Fiasco. It’s deeper than rap!

4) Hip Hop – Dj Khaled x Scarface & Nas
Khaled begins this song by saying “This shits special!” He’s right.

3)  Burn – Meek Mill x Big Sean

Two rappers trading verses back and forth is almost always dope and this song doesn’t disappoint. The excellent production from Jah lil Beats surely didn’t hurt either. Burn!!

2) Power Circle – MMG x Kendrick Lamar Great production from Lee Major backed up by solid overall verses from every featured artist ensures this song is a certified banger. Even Ross and Gunplay had FIRE verses. Wale’s verse is my personal favorite here. “May the wind be at your back..May the bad be in your past…”
1) Mercy – G.O.O.D Music x 2 Chainz
Why is this the #1 song of summer 2012? One word – “SWERVE!” (Big Sean Voice)

Summer 2012 is dead and gone but these solid tunes are still with us.
