Last year, the folks at Scion unveiled a very interesting concept at the New Your Auto show. A year later, here we go. Subaru an Toyota somehow got together and made this dream a reality.. We’ve seen a few Toyota/Subaru joint productions before but this one is a little special. The FR-S stands for “front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sport.”
With a 2.0 liter inline 4, 200 horses and 151 foot pounds of torque, the FR-S does 0-60 in about 6s. Not bad! Considering that it doesn’t have tricks like turbo or any nonsense like that. It’s a good old Subaru inline 4 Boxer engine. Else where this car is branded Subaru BRZ and or Toyota GT 86. Below is a picture of the Subaru variant.

MSRP is 24,930 MT with EPA ratings of 22/30. Add about $2000 more for the A/T. You get a couple of miles better with the automatic transmission so in my mind the A/T is the one that makes the most sense. Both manual and auto transmission are 6 speed.
